A detailed developmental history and clinical interview
Review of relevant medical, educational, and psychosocial background information
Completion of additional questionnaires and consent for releases of information to allow communication with schools, therapists, and other providers
Review and discussion of prior evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses, when available
Session Two in-person clinical assessment with the child or young adult:
Administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2)
Following completion of the second session, the clinician completes additional assessments deemed necessary. A comprehensive written diagnostic report is completed. Results are reviewed and discussed with the parent, caregiver, or client.
When an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis is rendered, referrals and recommendations are provided, including guidance on accessing appropriate community resources and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in-home services through HUSKY Health.
